Western Australian Trade Office, Dubai
The Western Australian Trade Office (WATO) in Dubai was established in October 2002. It is one of fourteen such offices around the world. Its role is to develop exports from, and to promote investment to, Western Australia. Its target market is the Middle East, with a primary focus on the countries of the GCC.
WATO is ready to assist local companies find Western Australian suppliers for a wide range of products and services. Western Australia has particular strengths in the oil, gas and mining industries, in agriculture and processed foods and in education. It can supply all types of food products, both processed and raw materials. WA also has a strong construction sector.
Many WA companies provide ancillary services to these industries and are available to export their services to other countries.
The WATO can also provide advice on a number of investment opportunities in WA. Local companies whose existing operations can benefit from offshore operations in a reliable and stable environment should speak to the WATO.
