Clean Energy and Environment

The Australian Trade Commission (Austrade), Australian Embassy Abu Dhabi, is a results-orientated Australian Government agency helping Australian companies succeed in international business and assisting international investors in seeking to enter Australia. A vacancy for a creative, resourceful and self-motivated individual is available to work with Australian clients, tasked with facilitating market entry and sourcing business opportunities across the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) regions.
 
Integral to the role are complex business development and promotional activities on behalf of Australian companies and the use of sophisticated computer-based business systems and the internet. The successful candidate will manage the programs to support clean energy and environment initiatives.
 
The successful candidate will hold relevant tertiary qualifications and have a minimum of 5 years work experience in a marketing or business development role. A strong track record in delivering results in a commercial environment with excellent client management, strategy development and communication skills is essential. The ability to develop strong industry networks both in Australia and in the local markets is also expected.
 
Experience in project management as well as industry knowledge of clean energy and environment sector is highly desirable. English language proficiency to a high level is required; Arabic language skills desirable.
 
The position is located at the Australian Embassy in Abu Dhabi. Employment is based on Austrade's Overseas Engaged Employee. Terms and Conditions, and employment will be governed by the law of the UAE. Commencement salary is in the range of AED 144,000 – 152,000 plus housing and transport, with further performance-based advancement possible.
